Add Wordlane to Claude and ChatGPT

In Claude, Wordlane is a connector. In ChatGPT, it is a plugin. Once you sign in with your Wordlane account, you can ask for a humanized draft or an AI score right in the chat.

Coding tools

Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code and Codex call Wordlane an MCP server. Use the button or command for your tool, or add the server by hand.

  • Add to Cursor

    Opens Cursor, which asks you to confirm the install.

  • Add to VS Code

    Opens VS Code, which asks you to confirm the install.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user wordlane https://wordlane.ai/mcp

Wordlane is then available in every project. Run /mcp in Claude Code, pick wordlane and choose Authenticate.

Codex CLI

codex mcp add wordlane --url https://wordlane.ai/mcp
codex mcp login wordlane

The second command opens the Wordlane sign-in in your browser.

    }
  }
}

What you can ask for

  • Humanize text

    Rewrites 20 to 2,000 words in English, German, Spanish or Polish so the passage reads like a person wrote it. Facts, numbers, names, quotes and citations stay as they are. Each input word costs one credit. You get the credits back when no safe rewrite is found, and text that already reads human comes back unchanged for free.

    “Humanize this paragraph and keep it professional.”

  • Score AI-likelihood

    Scores the first 8,000 characters from 0 (reads human) to 1 (reads AI-generated). Free, up to 30 checks an hour.

    “How AI-like does this cover letter read?”

  • Check your balance

    Shows how many word credits you have left.

    “How many Wordlane credits do I have left?”

Questions

Do I need a Wordlane account?

Yes. The first time Claude or ChatGPT connects, it opens a Wordlane page where you enter your email. We send you a sign-in link, and the page after it asks you to allow the app. There is no password, and the same link creates an account if you don't have one yet.

What does it cost?

The connector uses the same word credits as the website. A free account includes 1,000 words a month. Humanizing costs one credit per input word, while scoring and checking your balance are free.

Does Wordlane train on my text?

No. Texts you send through Claude, ChatGPT or another app are not used to train models. The Privacy Policy explains what we keep and for how long.

Privacy Policy

How do I disconnect Wordlane?

Remove the Wordlane connector in Claude, or the plugin in ChatGPT. Deleting your Wordlane account also revokes access for every connected app.

Why do the steps mention MCP?

MCP is the open standard that Claude connectors and ChatGPT plugins use to talk to outside services. You only see the word in a few setup screens, and you don't need to know anything about it.

Which address should I use?

Use https://wordlane.ai/mcp exactly as written. The www address does not work for the sign-in.
